Note from the Principal's Desk

We had such a fun week celebrating Homecoming at North! It was wonderful to see so much Redbird pride throughout our building. Thank you to all of our families who helped make the week special by participating in our spirit days! ❤️🐦

🎃 October PBIS Celebration: Our October celebration will be our Pumpkin Drop! To participate, students must have fewer than 2 discipline referrals from October 1st–28th. Please encourage your child to continue making positive choices and following our school-wide expectations so they can join in the fun!

As we continue through the school year, please talk with your child about the importance of being respectful, responsible, and kind to others. We want North to be a place where every student feels safe, supported, and that they belong.

A reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL Friday, October 9th for the Madison County Institute Day for teachers and NO SCHOOL Monday, October 12th in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
Thank you for partnering with us to make North a great place for our Redbirds! ❤️

Academics and Striving for Proficiency

🎯 Tracking Academic Success

Our school-wide goal is for 92% of our 4th and 5th grade students to be passing all of their classes. We’ll continue tracking our progress and providing support to help every student succeed!

For our 2nd and 3rd graders, we will also begin tracking the percentage of students earning a 3 in all basic skills each quarter. We would like to increase each quarter by 10%.

These goals help us keep a close eye on student progress and make sure every Little Redbird is growing and succeeding! ❤️

Notes from the Nurse

If your child needs to take any medication during the school day, a medication form must be completed by a physician and turned in to the school office. This includes prescription medications as well as over-the-counter medications, such as Tylenol, and inhalers.

For student safety, all medications must be kept in the nurse’s office and should not be carried or kept with students during the school day. Please contact our nurse or the North office if you have any questions. ❤️
