Note from the Principal's Desk
What a great week at North Elementary! Thank you to everyone who donated to our Sock It to Cancer fundraiser. We appreciate our North families coming together to support such an important cause!
I am also very proud of our Redbirds for the great job they did during Safety Week. Students took each drill seriously, listened carefully, and practiced the procedures that help us keep everyone safe at school.
📚 Progress Reports Are Available
Progress reports are available in Skyward today. Please take a few minutes to review your child’s progress. This is a great opportunity to celebrate successes and identify any areas where your child may need a little extra support. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
📣 PTG Meeting – Monday, September 21 at 6:00 PM
Our first PTG meeting of the year will be held in the North Elementary Library. We would love to have you join us! PTG is a great way to get involved and help support our students, staff, and school community.
⚾ Fredbird & Friends – Wednesday, September 23
We have a VERY special day coming up! Fredbird and Al Hrabosky from the St. Louis Cardinals will be visiting North for a Fredbird & Friends assembly!
This fun, interactive program encourages students to be active, celebrate what makes each person unique, work together with others, and seek support from the adults in their lives who can help them reach their goals.
🔴 Let’s turn North RED! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite Cardinals gear or red on Wednesday. We’ll even have a prize for the best-dressed class!
It’s going to be another exciting week at North. Thank you for your continued support of our Little Redbirds!

Culture of Belonging Scorecard
Every Friday, our students complete a quick 3-question check-in survey to help us understand how they are feeling at school. We use this feedback to improve our school and classroom systems and identify students who may need additional support. Results are also shared with classroom teachers so they can make adjustments when needed. Our goal is for 80% or more of our students to report that:
❤️ I feel safe at school.
🤝 I am treated kindly by my peers and staff.
⭐ I am recognized for the good things I do.
Student voice matters, and we want every Little Redbird to feel safe, valued, and like they belong at North!
